Though they took some getting used to — with their spiral shapes and slightly cooler light — CFLs marked an important transition. They showed us that lighting could be more efficient without sacrificing brightness, paving the way for even greater innovations.
CFLs were the bridge between the old glow of incandescent bulbs and today’s advanced, versatile LEDs, helping us all take our first steps toward smarter, greener lighting.
And then there was LED.
